Food

Breakfast, snacks, lunches and hot dinners are all included in my hourly rate.

I offer healthy home cooked food. Children are encourage to try different food and to get involved in helping to prepare meals.

Breakfasts include a choice of cereal or toast.

Fresh fruit is offered at snack time along with breadsticks or other child appropriate snacks. Favourites include bananas, satsumas, blueberries and pineapple. I try to provide a range of seasonal fruit and encourage children to try new foods.

Lunch is normally a sandwich, wrap, crackers or bagels, with cheese on the side and plenty of fresh fruit and veg.

Dinners include pasta with home-made tomato sauce, jacket potatoes, rice and chicken and sausages with new potatoes. They are all served with vegetables, and yoghurt, rice pudding or custard for pudding.

Sweets and chocolate are occasionally given for special occasions, such as birthdays. I do not allow nuts when I am working.

Water is available at all times, with milk or fruit juice offered at snack and lunch.
